Saturday January 22 or 23rd whichever was the saturday. Since Roscoe was out of town and the kids were tired of being cooped up as was I, and mom hadn't been out in forever so we decided to take luch and drive up the canyon. I was so suprised at how much snow was up here. It was sunny and nice in valley but up big cottonwood canyon it was a blizzard. It was kind of fun! We drove to Silver lake. We walked through the visitor center took a picture and came back in. Not that we had a choice. One guy came out and said I will take a picture for you guys but I can't let you go any further. SERIOUSLY guy!! I suppose some people would maybe think wandering through a blizzard would be a fun adventure. I would hope not though. All you could see was WHITE. The lake was covered in ice adn snow. I would think it would be easy to get lost out there.
We lasted I think 5 minutes out in there. IT was so cold!
I thought it was neat to see the big machines they had o use to clear all the snow away. THey were enormous! It was so cold the kids weren't even diddin' the machines.

My sisters and I have a tradtion of going to Sundance when the festival is going on. We all LOVE to go together. It was one time out of the year we get to go together have fun relax and actually enjoy one another uninhibited. I have and had so much FUN!!
