A day at the lake

Sunday August 1, Roscoe and I decided to take a day to relax and play with our family. We have been desperately trying to just sit and enjoy our kids. It feels like we both are always being pulled in so many directions, and we that we have the time for just our family. This sunday we took our phones turned them off and left them in the car all day. It was so nice! Sometimes I wish I could just shut off all power and technology long enough for us all to just have some quiet time. School is starting next week and this is the first time I can remember not being ready to send my kids to school. I feel like we don't even get to talk there is always something interrupting. It was really great to take a day for us, to just play and listen to only one another.

Oscar and Oliver. We were letting the waves come and knock us over. They thought it was so funny.Lillian jumping the waves. I didn't catch the wave in the picture but they were pretty good waves for the lake.
I love them! They make me happy!
Slathering Roscoe in mud. He was having his salon treatment.
Jager loved fishing
So did Oliver. It was the twins first time fishing. It was so fun because they thought it was so fun.
Oscar enjoying fishing
I was making clay pots with the girls. i had a picture of the girls and I here too, but I erased it.
My beautiful daughters!
Cyndell and Ciara doing hand stands in the lake
On this particular night the skys were spectactular. Every direction in the sky was a different color and a different sky. It was incredible! The west was orange. The south west was purple. The North was blue blue with white wispy clouds. The east was a gray purple. The North east was dark gray with very stormy clouds. I have pictures of them all. Today I learned that there was a solar flare that day and they were saying that the northern light could possibly be seen as far as SLC. Maybe that's what was going on. I have never seen anything like it. We had a wonderful day!

I cannot think of a more fun day than one spent at the lake. That is some of my favorite memories when we went to go horse back riding and ended up renting a boat what a great day we had.
