Finally some quality time

This was May 1st 2011. The first day in 2 months that Roscoe and I were able to sit down with our family together and really just do what we normally would do. In Feburary Rosoce and I began what was one of the neatest expiernces of our lives, but along with that came the busiest time in our lives ever! I just realized I haven't written about our Hopekids event yet. It was April 30th. That has to be a post on it's own.
These are just the kids being kids.
Where did Jager go? I'm not sure because I can't see him. Can you? Man did he think he was studly!

May 7th Nicole and I were able to walk in the Susan G Komen race. I walk for Nicoles mom, Christine S., Chris S, Joann, Cindy and Aunt Gloria. I love to feel the spirit of comraudity that surrounds you at these races. Life had been so busy that I hadn't even wrapped my mind around it being mothers day weekend so I registered at therace. Next year I'll remember to register in advance, it costs less. It was nice to finally get out with my friend.
I have to say I love this picture of Nicole.
I came home from the race to a silent empty house. I would call this a slice of heaven. I was able to clean uninterupted. When the kids did get home they had great stories to tell me about what they were able to build at the Home depot workshops. They also had gone to another store and made me sweet little planter boxes with flowers. Cyndell had a safety patrol hotdog party so she didn't get her sweet home depot apron.
Then we are at Mothers day. It was a good day. It was quiet, my house was clean and my kids were mostly sweet. They were still working on forgiving me for being gone and unavailable for months.
Then just a rainy day that we decided to go walking instead of watching the rain. We have cabin fever big time and it's almost June.
