Our GOLD Ribbons
The mama making ribbons for her baby girl.
The Aunt and twin cousins showing our support also
Cyndell piecing together her beautiful poster. About a week before this Cyndell came home from and sat down in living room to put it together. I was in the kitchen doing who knows what, when I turned and saw this (in my eyes) stunning masterpiece. I had no idea she had done this with her classmates. I knew she had asked her classmates to write letters for Rachel ( steelestrong.blogspot.com ) and Cami (kissesforcami.blogspot.com), but what I didn't know is that they had come up with this poster. My jaw hit the floor and my eyes teared up. I love seeing the support that surrounds all of these families I think it is incredible, even if we don't know them all personaly. My favorite part of the poster is the hand surrounding the ribbon (orange is the color for luekemia). They did them on individual pieces of paper then pieced them together. A favorite saying that Amanda Bishop wrote (Cyndell's friend) is "Cancer is Madness".

The boys starting the selling while they waited for the guest of honor Millie to arrive. The girls and I couldn't be there to sell until 11am, we had a primary program practice. Our program was the next day.
The set up. Roscoe and I were up early to get everything ready so I could be over to the ward by 8:30 and the girls and JAger could follow at 9. Thank heaven for Ben and Nicole! They let us borrow their shade tent for the day since our trees out front are still just little babies.
Our guest of honor arrives. Thank heavens those twins needed their big cousin to help.
Zane, Jager, Millie, and Lillian
It took a great support system to make this day go so smoothly for our family. Without Nicole we would have had a much more chaotic day. Once the twins were bored with it, pretty soon after it started she let them play. She fed them lunch since my 3 oldest and I ate pizza after the practice. SHe invited Millie over to come and eat lunch with them also. Thanks you to Brady for feeding Roscoe, sometimes I forget to feed the dad.
Amelia getting cancer is the reason we became involved in any of this
This is the girls at the end of the day. The stand went from 9 -3. Around 1 we sent Millie, Zane and Jager out back to play and take a break for an hour or so. The boys never made it back, but Millie did and as you can see was pretty tired by the time the day was done. Who can blame her?! I was and i'm the big person. These cousins love this little girl!
Just before the stand was over and the crowd was slowing down Millie found the dirt in the fron and had a great time playing in it. I LOVE my niece! All of our lives are forever changed because of Millie having to fight cancer. My life changed forever December 17, 2009. So did the rest of my families.
While selling lemonade Jager would holler random amounts for the lemonade like lemonade .59 cents and Millie would too! Then Cyndell or Lillian would yell lemonade for cancer and out of the blue after they would yell that Millie would yell " CANCER FEARS ME"!! I would have to say, yeas Millie cancer does FEAR YOU!! It should! You are the STRONGEST little kid I know. Thank you for teaching me Millie! Thank you for teaching us all. If you would like to learn more about Alex's lemonade visit their website at www.alexslemonade.org
I don't know how to make it so you can just click on the links, so you will have to type the address in the old fashion way. We had an amazing turn out. Amelia had alot of family, family friends, friends, friends friends, and strangers come to support her and donate online. BEcause of all of you there WILL BE A CURE for CHILDHOOD CANCER and hopefuly every cancer.
