HAT DONATIONS for P.C,M.C

About 6 weeks or so ago, CYndell and Lillian came to me with these small poster pages that they had made to take to school to start a hat donation for the children with cancer at Primary Childrens. I told them that if they were really serious about doing this that they needed to talk to each of their teachers and their principal to make sure it would be ok. Then asked them that they were sure they wanted to put the time and effort that it would take to do it. Just before spring break for family night the kids all made their own posters, including JAger. Next step was to get notes typed up and cut out to go into EVERY childs back packs at all of their schools. On April 6th we took their posters to their schools to hang them up and sorted out the notes to put in all the teachers boxes. Total notes that went out to Cyndell and Lillians school was 420. Total notes that went out to Jagers school was 48. Their drive runs from APRIL 6-MAY 7th. We have spoken with Primary Childrens donation center and also their hematology/oncology unit, where the girls will then take ALL hats donated to hang on their hat tree that the kids get to take a hat from after their visit to the hospital. This has been an amazing fun expiernce for them. THe children and their families are being very supportive and donating fun hats. We also have a poster and basket on our front porch. As we have learned that so many families are effected by cancer and many other illnesses, it has been a inspiring journey to find ways to make these childrens days a little brighter. Primary Childrens really couldn't do all that they do without the loving, giving, services, and talents of others.
The kids making their posters. They all did their own. We wrote out Jager's, but he traced every letter and drew the hats on his poster.
Cyndell putting up her poster and basket for donations. Lillian with her poster and basket to drop hats in.All 3 when we were done at the girls school. Jagers poster and basket are inside his class at school also. His will be placed outside where the parents drop/pick up the kids on the dry days next week. His picture will go up then. IF anyone wants to support them you can drop them in the basket out front of our house or if you live far enough away you can mail them to us. Thank you ahead of time to EVERY single person that ever donates or helps to find a cure or make the lives of children and their families affected with cancer.
