Lillian's Baptism 6 6 09

On Saturday our family had the great privelage of welcoming our newest member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints into our family. We are so proud of Lillian for making this decision on her own will and studying the gospel on her own so that she could have her own testimony of the church and understanding of the choice she was making. Baptism is just the beginning of many good choices that we hope Lillian will make through out her life. Lillian is a strong great spirit! That was quite apparent on Saturday. We had a wonderful day. The Baptism went beautifuly as did the lunch afterward. We had so MUCH support it was overwhelming. As we sat there in the chapel and looked around at all the wonderful faces of the friends and family that came to be a witness to this occasion in our family, as the mother my heart was so full that it was spilling with joy. Our family felt so loved and so supported words do not always exspress what we felt and this is one of the occasions in life when only those of you that have felt the spirit we are speaking of know what it is that I mean. The room was feeled with the spirit. It was wonderful! We realized on this day just how much support and love we do have from the people that surround us. For us we will never be able to exspress enough gratitude and appreciation to the people that weere there to support us. These are the people( a few) that over the years have been the ones that Roscoe and I have looked up to and strive to be like. Amazing examples of our faith and gospel. Families that through some of our toughest hardships have supported us and been there for us loved us and served us. We as a family stand in amazment at the power of this gospel of the love, charity, service and faith that come with it. As parents we could not be more grateful for the joy it brings into our family and lives. For the opportunity it gives us to be better people everday to grow and learn to love and serve to be better parents. I could go on and on about this gospel I love so much and pray and hope that as my children make there steps into this Gospel that they to will understand and love it the way I do.
