CArrot tops are green

A few weeks ago our great friends and neighbors let Jager and Roscoe come over and pick some carrots. Normally you wouldn't blog about this but these carrots were so HUGE and pretty that I thought I would show them to you. Jager really thought it was exciting to help dig up the carrots. They were great for dinners and for my juicing! Delicious! Look at all the different colors. I didn't even know carrots came in so many different colors and flavors. How fun!

You know, carrots orriginally were only PURPLE, and came from Holland or somewhere abouts there. Then when people took them back to their countries they bred them to look more appitizing. I don't know why then ended up orange though. I guess I need to find out! Look at that long skinny white one. I don't want to eat that one. :D I miss gardens....
