The BIG BULL RIDE

As you all know if you read all the way down to the bottom of our last post Roscoe had the opportunity to ride a bull with one of his closest friends and his dad. On the wednesday the 3rd we all loaded into the cars and headed down to Spanish fork arena to watch the boys ride bulls. I was so nervous I thought I would pass out, from the second Roscoe kissed me goodbye in the morning until ALL the boys were done riding I was a wreck! Myrna was nervous also and Nicole seemed to have nerves of steel, the boys were all just SUPER EXCITED! Ben was first to ride after some instruction from Taylor (president Towers missionary from Cambodia). His family are the ones that gave our boys this great opportunity to ride. he stayed on his first bull for 7 sec and then made a great landing into the fence..LOL! I was brerathing a bit easier after this ride. Roscoe was up next and managed 4 sec before landing on his elbow and running for the gates..LOL! Again breathing a little easier. Dave was up next he lasted about 2 sec before having the hardest fall of them all, he landed on his back and had the wind knocked out of him and so did all the rest of us until we saw him get up. He is 66 and was brave enough to not give up on a bucket list wish. Ben went a second time on a CRAZY bull that about creamed him..no adreniline was stopping him from getting up this time! Andrew was last, his ride was abot 5 sec before he took a bounce on the rump..LOL! He did inform that he was up and running the next day. I was happy when they all were done not only because they all were safe, but beause they all loved it ( love may not be a strong enough word here) and it was HILARIOUS! we have video that we can all sit back and watch now without any of the nerves and enjoy the pure comedy! LOL!! We had 3 cameras going and for some reason even with changing the aperture and shutter speed the majority of the pics just didn't turn out. So we don't have any still shots of them on the bulls. I tried to video with our own camerea but I was shaking to bad and once the boys were out the gate I would drop the camera anyway, so I am glad the boys took Nicoles camera over with them and we have video from their perspective. If I can get it on and edited down to a shorter version I will upload it! All in all it was a blast and I am so glad Roscoe had this chance. There next plan (not) is Nordic Skiing or bull wars this summer and Cyndell thinks she should enter the muttin' busting competions. She says she could hang on the longest!!
