The big hunt

Roscoe was off to the Elk hunt this weekend they headed up the mountain in all of their manly gear and trucks feeling a bit free I must say. All was going well until they hit Evanston when our truck that has a BRAND NEW engine( barely 500 miles on it) decided to blow a freeze plug. Roscoe was just cruising along completely oblivious to anything happening to his truck, when Brant radioed and asked "what was up?" he replies "he is not sure Ben is pulling over" as he slows the smokes starts to flow in. That is when he realized it was him. That is what the bottom pic is. They went to checker to get new freeze plugs, but they couldn't reach the one that was blown it was behind the engine block. They loaded his and Teds gear into all the other trucks and they were off again leaving his truck behind. NOTHING was going to stop them!! They were going HUNTING!! Off they were, up the mountain again. They got to there destination around 1pm Friday they went up by Dutch John, Wyoming. They scouted and then went duck hunting, hard day ay?! He got his 1st yes 1st elk on Saturday night. They hiked opposite the mountain they were initially hunting found the elk and got her. It wasn't that easy though. He had hit her but neither he nor Ben was sure. So they split up and went looking for blood they couldn't find any when they were about to call it quits for the night when Roscoe saw a single elk down at the bottom of the hill away from the herd. They knew then she was hit since she had separated herself from the other elk. Down the mountain they went where he finished her off (after some gun problems also). Hed had gut shot her so got to clean his first elk in the dark with a gut shot, learned alot in one hunt. They left her on the mountain for the night and hiked up Sunday morning and drug her out. After all was said and done they had 8 tags and all 8 guys tagged out. They were headed home Monday afternoon with 8 elk.Who's cool?? Oh ya they are! Or so they think! Anyway he had a GREAT TIME and said he couldn't have gone with a better bunch of men. For now they are hanging in his buddies cooler waiting to be butchered by Roscoe on Saturday. With that here's to Elk meat for the year!

As I write this my upstairs poeple are going crazy again slamming doors and what not. They are going to make me lose it! I think my definition of cool and Roscoe's are so very different... I didn't know about his truck, that sucks! Good job on all the KILLS (I can't believe I just said that; poor little guys). Love you guys!

Sorry about the truck, that is the pits. Boys are such boys, glad he had a great time and was successful too.
